With a background in environmental science, GIS, and field research, SeaFly Solutions delivers more than aerial imagery—we provide actionable data tailored to your needs.

My name is Gabriel Anderson, and I am the founder of SeaFly Solutions LLC. I am a California-based conservation biologist working across various coastal systems. I’ve grown up in the outdoors, backpacking across many areas of western America in a way that has deepened my love for the environment on which we rely. I graduated as a Frost Scholar at California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo (Cal Poly SLO) with a B.S. in marine sciences, and a strong interest in applications of drone technology and scientific diving to quantify the abundance, distribution, and functioning of coastal populations and landscapes.

I have numerous trainings and certifications including:

  • FAA Part 107-certified drone pilot with 6 years of experience with small quadcopters & fixed-wing aircraft
  • AAUS-certified scientific diver with 8+ years of subtidal experience
  • MOTC-certified small boat operator for 2 years
  • Wilderness First Aid, DAN O2, & CPR/AED-certified

Gabriel Anderson’s Resume

I’ve worked on various coastal conservation projects spanning various institutions such as NGOs in Louisiana, CSU-based research labs, and locally-owned businesses on the California coast to better understand how humankind is reshaping our greater coastal zone. I’m available to support and collaborate on any number of coastal projects for academic and applied research and nonprofit efforts. Feel free to explore the site to learn more about each realm of my work or send me an inquiry regarding potential collaborations. I am always eager to become involved with additional efforts to understand our coastal and oceanic environment or foster more sustainable, just coastal communities.
